20-20 and India

20-20 has started and there is buzz around everywhere .Nobody seems to give India any chance , let alone winning , of decent performance also . We dont have our stalwarts Sachin , Dravid ,Ganguly (?) and therefore it will be OK if India fare badly at the world cup.
But can India rise to the occasion? Can India against all odds and expectations , come out of the blues and spring a surprise. Answer to this question for me is surprisingly Yes!!!
India was never lacking in Talent part of the cricket, it has that in abundance.Only part was the pressure to perform. And its good that this team is not expected to win.As for me , this Indian squad has nothing to loose .They will have a go at the opposition and if they do that ,they really are too talented bunch of cricketers who will lose against any team including Australia.
20 -20 is about talent ,its about performing right from the word go.And I daresay India has lot of experience on this front.Every indian player at some stage of career played some matches like these.Its a match that every other Indian plays on ground.Its a game that is played on roads ,in gulleys of India. 20 -20 is really an Indian expression of cricket.
So lets keep our fingers crossed. We will not have surprise!!

Of course, in retrospect, everything u said happened. Yes, i also feel that since no one expected anything from the team, they played fearlessly . But only after they got to the final, the team seemed to choke up. Luckily for us, Pakistan performed even more poorly. Anyways, 20-20 is very entertaining and both the final and semi-final were awesome

Yes , writing this before the tournament was easy as India was not expected to win hence the Blog was not expected to be correct.
Semi Final and Final both were both really awesome.We held on to nerves better than Pak in the final and Rest as they say ..

After much deliberation , and many attempts to have many people on board , we decided 3 is enough (kapil , mandar and me that is btw),let us go to Rajgad. Date was decided , 9th August it was. Few questions after a win in Lost series...

Just concluded India's tour to South Africa was unique in many perspectives. It was first major series of Virat Kohli outside sub-continent & consequently his major test.It was first series where there were realistic expectation of series win. India fought well through the series , had their moments , battled come back from 2-0 down and won last test to make it 2-1, series lost nevertheless. So what went wrong ? First of all is there anything wrong ? If you lose a hard fought series where in all 3 matches both teams had their chances till last 2 sessions of a test , we may like to believe that it was close and both teams matched each other. But the difference and Victory margins in all 3 tests suggest otherwise.If anyone has a look at scorecard 5 years down the line , one may conclude that South Africa was superior in first 2 matches by some distance and same for India in final test. And probably this is the reality and to think pitch for final test was not ideal for test
